Ken Guenter

Ken is a long time resident of the Lakes District albeit with a few wanderlust intervals.  Ken worked in the Lakes District as a silviculture contractor for 14 years, owned a restaurant for 7 of these, and was the first General Manager of Burns Lake Community Forest Ltd.  After retiring, Ken moved to Terrace. There he came out of retirement to serve as the General Manager of Community Futures 16/37. After retiring for a second time, Ken returned home to Burns Lake. He came out of retirement once again to join the Village of Burns Lake as the Economic Development Officer. In June 2022, Ken retired for a third time. Ken is an avid boater, fisher and hunter, and has a keen interest in the economic well-being of the area as well as promoting the area as a lifestyle choice.
