Lisa Grant is from the Heiltsuk and Git’ga’at nations. She married into the Haisla Nation where she lives enjoying life with her husband, and 3 dogs. Lisa loves outdoors, and explores by hiking, snow shoeing, kayaking, long road trips and side by siding. Lisa grew up in Northern British Columbia, in a small town called Prince Rupert. Lisa worked in aboriginal child and youth care for 10 years in many different roles; youth counselor, case file manager, safe house support worker, and aboriginal child and youth mental health support worker.
She moved to Kitimat in early 2011, where she made the crucial decision to start her education journey at Northwest Community College. Taking two years and gaining her diploma in Business Administration with a major in accounting. She moved to Vancouver in 2013 and graduated from Capilano University in 2015 with her Bachelor of Business Administration. In September 2020, Lisa graduated with her Master's in Global Management and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration - Executive Management. For three years Lisa worked at the Aluminum Smelter, Rio Tinto BC Works in Kitimat BC as an advisor for communication and communities. In October 2020, Lisa changed positions and has been working as a Business Development Manager at Haisla Nation Council.
