The Grant Writing Workshop is a practical 1.5-hour hands-on experience that will prepare you to access funding from Nechako-Kitamaat Development Fund Society. The session is for anyone with an interest in honing their skills, whether or not you have previous grant writing experience. The workshop will cover a brief introduction to NKDF, which organizations qualify to receive funding, and how much funding is available. Participants are encouraged to bring their project ideas to focus on during workshop activities.
This workshop will be facilitated by Dan Boudreau, NKDF Manager since 2004, and hosted by Haisla Nation Council. The workshop is offered at no charge, but we do ask that you pre-register by calling (250) 639-9361.
What You Will Learn
The Government of B.C. and Alcan Inc. each contributed $7.5 million to establish the Northern Development Fund in 1999. The investment income generated from this fund supports the NKDF grants program. Each partner has one representative serving on the board of directors. The NKDF is part of the portfolio of the Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training.
